For years, Aisha Birungi, a 42-year-old widow from Nakifuma, Uganda, struggled to keep her farm productive. Limited access to quality seeds, fertilizers, and pest control meant her harvests barely supported her children. However, everything changed when she joined Edu Call Uganda.
Through the program, Sarah received hybrid seeds, fertilizers, and insecticides on loan, along with training on modern farming techniques. The results were transformational—her maize yields doubled, giving her enough surplus to sell at the market.
“I no longer worry about school fees or feeding my family,” she says. “Edu Call Uganda gave me more than farm inputs—they gave me a future.”
Today, Sarah is an inspiration in her village, teaching fellow women the importance of using improved farming methods. Thanks to Edu Call Uganda, she has turned her farm into a profitable venture, proving that with the right support, women can drive agricultural success.
